I started applying what I was learning about nutrition from my high school anatomy and physiology class, and saw my soccer recovery times greatly improve due to my new learnings.  From that point forward, I knew I wanted to study nutrition.  My decision to become a dietitian was later solidified while taking my mother to her diabetes education classes after she began to suffer from diabetic retinopathy.  I knew from that moment that I wanted to make a positive impact in people's lives through nutrition!
